Conductive Hearing Impairment is hearing loss caused by sound not effectively reaching the inner ear. Common causes include ear infections, earwax buildup, a perforated eardrum, or middle ear bone fixation (otosclerosis). Sounds may seem muffled, and soft sounds are difficult to hear. This condition is often temporary or treatable with medication, wax removal, or surgery (such as ossicle repair) to restore normal hearing.
