If you’ve undergone sinus surgery or are preparing for a procedure, you may be wondering what comes next. Recovery and long-term results matter just as much as the surgery itself, and that’s where PROPEL® comes in. PROPEL® is a clinically proven sinus implant that works after surgery to help ensure the best possible outcome. It is the first and only device shown to keep the sinuses open following surgery, deliver anti-inflammatory medication directly to the sinus tissue, and then dissolve on its own, leaving nothing behind.

How Does PROPEL® Work?

After sinus surgery, the body’s natural healing process can cause inflammation and scarring that narrows the sinuses again, sometimes undoing the benefits of the procedure. PROPEL® addresses this by:

  • Keeping the sinus passages open during the critical healing period
  • Delivering mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid, precisely where it’s needed to reduce inflammation
  • Gradually dissolving over time, with no removal required

The result is less post-operative scarring, reduced need for oral steroids, and a lower likelihood of requiring additional surgical procedures.¹

PROPEL® Implant Options

  • PROPEL® for the ethmoid sinus
  • PROPEL® Mini for the ethmoid sinus and frontal sinus opening

Is PROPEL® Right for You?

PROPEL is intended for patients 18 and older who are undergoing or have undergone sinus surgery. It may not be appropriate for patients with an allergy to mometasone furoate or certain polymers. Your Connecticut ENT physician will review your full medical history to determine whether PROPEL® is a good fit for your recovery plan.

The PROPEL sinus implants are intended for use following sinus surgery to maintain the sinus openings and to locally deliver a drug to the sinuses: PROPEL for use in the ethmoid sinus, PROPEL Mini for use in the ethmoid sinus and frontal sinus opening and PROPEL Contour for use in the frontal and maxillary sinus openings. The products are intended for use in patients aged≥18 years. These products are not intended for people who are allergic to the drug (mometasone furoate) or to certain polymers.
