Inspire® Sleep

INSPIRE Sleep

If you’ve been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP hasn’t given you the relief you were hoping for, you’re not alone. Many patients find the mask uncomfortable, the equipment cumbersome, and the nightly routine unsustainable. Left untreated, sleep apnea can contribute to serious health issues, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and chronic fatigue. At Connecticut ENT, we offer Inspire therapy, an FDA-approved implantable treatment that works from inside your body so you can breathe freely, sleep soundly, and wake up feeling like yourself again.

Please contact Connecticut ENT Allergy & Sinus at (203) 578-4630 to schedule an appointment.

What is Inspire® Therapy?

Proven Results

Inspire therapy is a small implantable device that monitors your breathing as you sleep and delivers gentle stimulation to keep your airway open. There is no mask, no hose, and no machine on your nightstand. You simply click the Inspire remote before bed, and the device does the rest.

How Does Inspire Therapy Work?

The Inspire system has three components that work together seamlessly:

  • The Inspire implant is placed under the skin during a minimally invasive outpatient procedure. It monitors your breathing and keeps your airway open throughout the night.
  • The Inspire remote turns your therapy on before bed and off in the morning. No equipment to strap on, no adjustments required.
  • The Inspire app tracks your sleep progress and lets you share data directly with your Connecticut ENT provider.

Inspire therapy has been trusted by providers and patients for over a decade, and the results back it up:

  • 79% reduction in sleep apnea events¹
  • 90% of bed partners report no snoring or soft snoring¹
  • 93% of patients recommend Inspire therapy to a friend or family member²
  • 91% of patients say Inspire therapy is better than CPAP²

Am I a Candidate?

You may be a good candidate for Inspire therapy if you:

  • Have been diagnosed with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea
  • Have tried CPAP and found it ineffective or difficult to tolerate
  • Are not significantly obese
  • Are 18 years of age or older

Your Connecticut ENT physician will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine whether Inspire therapy is right for you.
