Raymond E. Winicki, MD, FAAOHNS, Partner

Dr. Raymond E. Winicki is a board-certified otolaryngologist with over 30 years of experience specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck region. As a managing partner at Naugatuck Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates (NVENTA) in Waterbury, Connecticut, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive ENT care to patients of all ages, helping them find relief from conditions ranging from chronic sinusitis and allergies to sleep apnea, hearing loss, and voice disorders.

Dr. Winicki earned his bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Rochester before obtaining his medical degree from the prestigious New York University School of Medicine in 1993. He then completed an intensive residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1999, gaining advanced training in both medical and surgical treatments for ear, nose, and throat conditions. He currently serves as the Division Chief of Otolaryngology at St. Mary’s Hospital and Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT.  He is a past President of the CT ENT Society and serves as the Regional 1 Representative for the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and holds certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, highlighting his expertise in the field.  Recognized for his excellence in patient care, Dr. Winicki has been honored as a Top Doctor by Connecticut Magazine and Top MD by Consumers’ Checkbook.  He has received CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification for AllMeds EHR, reflecting his dedication to integrating modern technology into medical practice for improved patient outcomes.

At NVENTA, Dr. Winicki and his team offer a full spectrum of ENT services, including the treatment of sinus infections, allergies, ear infections, voice and speech disorders, balance and dizziness issues, tinnitus, and sleep disorders such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. He takes a patient-centered approach to care, ensuring that each individual receives tailored treatments designed to improve their quality of life. Currently, Dr. Winicki is affiliated with Waterbury Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital, Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center  as well as the Waterbury Surgery Center where he serves on the Executive Board.
