Naugatuck Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates is a proud sponsor of the assistive listening devices available at the spectacular Palace Theater in downtown Waterbury, CT. The theater is a 2,900-seat auditorium that presents various live entertainment, hosting off-Broadway theater productions and locally produced events. The Palace Theater was built in 1921 to a Renaissance Revival design by Thomas W. Lamb and is on the National Register of Historic Places list.
There are three ways to use assistive listening devices at the Palace Theater.
Traditional Headsets
Headsets are available at the Coat Check for sound amplification and clarity. You must provide a driver’s license or credit card as a deposit. This service is available for all performances.
Hearing Aids
Hear the show directly in your Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids or cochlear implants. Visit us at Coat Check before the show begins to receive instructions on how to use the system. This service is available for all performances. Please download the smartphone app Sennheiser MobileConnect before you visit the theater.
Open-Captioned Performances
Open Captioning uses a text display to simultaneously translate dialogue and lyrics and any sound effects on stage during a live performance. This service is open to everyone for viewing in a designated seating area without any special equipment needed by the audience member. Refer to our open-captioning map for the best seats during open-captioned performances.
Please visit the assistive listening devices section on the Accessibility page at the Palace Theater website. We hope you can use one of these options during your next visit to the Palace Theater. See you at the show!
